GAC Debuts New Bio Doc Series 'Backstory'

NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 2, 2009 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ ----Great American Country (GACn.a., n.a., n.a.%) will debut Backstory, the only biographical documentary series devoted to the lives of country music's top stars, Monday, April 6, 8:00 pm/eastern. The premiere episode features multi-platinum RCA recording artist Sara Evans whose career began in her Booneville, Missouri, hometown when she was just five years old.

In addition to a relaxed, in-depth interview with Evans, fans will learn about her life and career from those closest to her including her mother, her husband, her record label head, her co-writers and her close friend, Sheryl Crow. She shares memories of growing up on stage, recovering from a serious accident and pursuing what she says has always been her dream: performing country music. It was not an easy road but one that's paid off in the form of million-selling albums and number one hits including "Born to Fly," "No Place That Far," and "A Real Fine Place To Start." Evans has also performed on countless television specials and has appeared in many national magazines including a spot on People magazine's coveted "Most Beautiful" list.
